About Cyprus

You may probably have been to Cyprus before, but there’s always a new wonderful place to discover. Cyprus is at the crossroads of three continents, where East meets West and a new experience awaits for you under the sun every day of the year. Cyprus has many Championship Golf courses, inviting Blue Flag beaches, and breathtaking mountain and wonderful Wine Regions. There are luxurious places to stay all over Cyprus. Enjoy the island’s beauty again and again.

Paphos - embraced by the Mediterranean Sea, is located in the West of Cyprus. In ancient times the city was divided into two areas, Palepaphos, called today Kouklia, and New Paphos, the residential area now-days, inhabited by 88,266 people (census 2011). It is worth to mention that Paphos has been fairly honoured as the "European Cultural Capital of 2017". Near Palaepaphos (Old Paphos) at the seaside of Petra tou Romiou is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty and the founding myth is interwoven with the goddess at every level, so that Old Paphos became the most famous and important place for worshipping Aphrodite in the ancient world.

Limassol - The Cosmopolitan city of Limassol is half way between Paphos and Larnaca. The fabulous new multi-million Euro Marina is now open. There is an old Town with small bustling streets and there are large modern department stores and shopping Mall. The beach is long and sandy and there is a pleasant promenade and highway all long the coastline. The Port of Limassol is one of the busiest ports in the Mediterranean transit trade and the largest port in Cyprus.

Nicosia - The capital of Cyprus is the centrally located and the largest in population city of the island. Its population hovers around 300,000 (a third of the total population of Cyprus) but the city has a feel of one much larger. It is the administrative and financial hub of the island as well as home to several state and International universities, colleges and other educational establishments. It also hosts most foreign embassies and offshore companies (a big industry in Cyprus nowadays). Along with its international students and foreign workers it has developed a truly cosmopolitan feel with a wide selection of Cafes, Bars, Clubs, Restaurants and modern shopping centres.

Larnaca - is in an area of outstanding beauty - filled with numerous attractions, waterfronts and scenic vistas as well as some outstanding beaches and clear sea which has World Class Diving Sites. It is located on Cyprus' South East corner on the coast and Larnaca is the countries third largest city and home to the second largest commercial port. Larnaca's International Airport is located on the fringe of the city with easy access to and from the city centre.
